Trigg Island SLSC’s ‘Women In Surf Weekend’ coincides with the 40 years of Women in Surf celebration. With the understanding that breast cancer is the most common type of cancer women are diagnosed with, we thought it was essential to include a fundraising brunch for the McGrath Foundation during this celebration of our female members.
Trigg Island SLSC is passionate about promoting physical activity for all it's members. Physical activity has been shown to decrease the risk of developing breast cancer in women, however prevention is not always possible and a breast cancer diagnosis can change your life in an instant. The impact of diagnosis can be felt right through your family and friends, which is why we have chosen to support McGrath Breast Care Nurses.
