Let's do our part for breast cancer
My name is Amelia and I have been growing my hair for a long time so that it will be long enough to cut and donate to a cancer foundation to be made into a wig. It is finally long enough and the "big chop" is booked in for Friday 18th December 2020 at 2.30 pm.
As many of you are aware, my mum Valerie battled breast cancer. After her re-diagnosis when we were on holiday in Queensland in January 2018 she made contact with the McGrath Foundation. Within hours she had received a phone call from a McGrath Breast Care Nurse who was able to provide support and reassurance during such a distressing time.
I would like to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation so that others may be able to be supported by a McGrath Breast Care Nurse at the time of their diagnosis of breast cancer.
Supporting me to raise funds for this great cause is easy and you can help place specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses, wherever they're needed.
