Let's do our part for breast cancer

I will be wearing pink everyday for the month of June to raise support for the amazing work the McGrath Foundation does and at the end of June will be cutting over 30cm off my hair to donate to sustainable salons to make a wig for those in need.

With your support I will be fundraising to help make the lives of families experiencing breast cancer that little bit easier.

A breast cancer diagnosis can change your life in an instant and the impact can be felt right through your family and friends.

McGrath Breast Care Nurses bring you and your family peace of mind through expert knowledge, personal care and genuine compassion. They can help you create time in your life not defined by breast cancer.

Postponed

Due to the current lockdown, I will be postponing my fundraiser. 
Once restrictions ease a new date will be determined.
I guess all isn't so bad when I have these to at home with me supporting me and the cause in pink!

The date is set!

The date is finally set for when I will be cutting off over 30cm of my hair!
My Hair will then be donated to Sustainable Salons where the ponytails are sent directly to wigmakers and to charitable organisations to be made into charitable wigs or to fund life-changing programs.

My hair will be cut on the 6th of July at my workplace with my colleagues cutting off multiple sections of my hair! 

We are making a day of it with a bake sale, with so many generous people offering to bake or buy some delicious treats!

Good Morning! 

Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to all the people who have donated so far.
I have always wanted to donate my hair for a good cause and with the support and encouragement of those around me, I decided to take the leap and join it by raising money for an amazing cause that sits close to my heart. 
I believe we are all here for a reason and can all make a difference and the last 3 days have just shown how much we can be capable of when we come together. 

Already we have raised enough money to fund 154 McGrath Breast Care Nurses and that is all within 3 days. 

I ask you now, if you can, to join me in trying to reach $2,400 (3 x my original goal)! I know how much of a difference this could make not only to the Foundation but all the people they support, including a very close friend of mine.
