Usually at this time of year I would be at the SCG fundraising for the McGrath Foundation.

This year, I am once again a proud member of the McGrath Foundation’s ‘Pink Army’ for the Vodafone Pink Test!

I would usually step around the Sydney Cricket Ground and fundraise. But this Pink Test, I am stepping up and taking on the challenge by walking 20,000 steps each of the five days. But since I missed day 1 that means I need to do 25, 000 steps for each of the next 4 days!!

Representing the Pink Army in my community, means I will be 'pinking up' and raising funds to support families experiencing breast cancer and in doing so paying tribute to my friends and family affected by this terrible disease.

Every dollar you assist me in raising will help place specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses wherever they’re needed – for free.

Last Day!!

So today is the last day of the test match and what a cracker of a match it has been!! I have found it difficult to tear myself away from watching to fit in the steps.
In saying that, I have finally (after a year of living in this building) made friends-ish, with the gym in my building. It's quite pleasant being in there on my own, cycling away on the bike with the cricket on the big screen.
Have even tried the rowing machine. So hopefully this challenge will also prove to be the kickstart to a healthier more active 2021.

Today is the Day!!

So it's officially Pink Day today!!
As I mentioned, I missed day 1 of 20,000 steps but I started to make up for it yesterday by completing 26, 000 steps!
Ouch...feeling it today but just about to head about to head out and work on today's total. 
After a year without my PT and of Covid lockdown eating not to mention no preparation at all, I am definitely feeling it!
Yesterday as I walked, and walked, and walked, and the discomfort grew and grew I brought to mind my friends and family that have personally fought breast cancer and been triumphant-in particular Alice, Claire and Sharon.
