In memory of David
This page is dedicated to the memory of David. Kind, loving and intelligent, David lived every day for his family. Even in the worst of times, he faced each day with resilience and strength.
David unfortunately lost his battle with cancer in January 2025. The McGrath Cancer Care Nurses now provide free support to people experiencing any type of cancer diagnosis. This program would have been invaluable through David’s cancer experience and would have provided support and guidance at a time of uncertainty and fear.
In memory of David, we ask that you consider a donation to the McGrath Foundation. Our wish is that other families experiencing a cancer diagnosis can access this support.
We hope that all who knew and loved David will keep his memory alive, to share his wisdom and humour and live life with kindness and curiosity.

It’s a privilege to make a donation to the McGrath Foundation in honour of David. A man who loved his family more than anything, and who had that love reciprocated. Let’s make a difference.

Thank you for all the strong morning coffees!!!! Thank you for your support and encouragement of becoming a nurse. I loved how you were always kind, patient and respectful of all your employees thoughts and contributions. Your love for your family was inspiring - in particular Hannah’s journey from high school to university.
In memory of David with whom we spent our posting in Malaysia. Your calm, considered approach and kindness were so influential for us, as was your knowledge of good wine (taking over the Commissary) and good food. It was a privilege knowing you and your family. We are so sorry for your loss.
