Let's do our part for breast cancer

From me… 

This year I’m choosing to have surgery (knee replacement) during a pandemic, and yes: it looks like it will definitely go ahead. Hoorah!

Last year someone very dear to me had to have a mastectomy during the same pandemic. 

While she couldn’t have many visitors, her McGrath Breast Care Nurses was her support, her shoulder to cry on, her rock. 

So, if you were thinking of sending me flowers (or even if you weren’t!)  please don’t. 

I would much prefer it if you could donate the money you would (or wouldn’t!) have spent to the McGrath Foundation because right now someone’s sister / mother / daughter has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She’s scared and lonely and in the middle of lockdown, her McGrath nurse is going to be her new best friend. 

And if you haven’t done so recently, go and get your boobs checked!
