WRPF Power of Women

Hi everyone,

As some of you may know, I have been on a powerlifting journey over the year or so and have just decided to take part in my first ever powerlifting competition this year!! I will be entering in my weight class in Deadlift only and my goal is to deadlift almost double my body weight.

The competition I am entering is called the Power of Women where all profits go to McGrath Foundation to raise money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who support individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer.

While I am training to reach my goal, I thought it would be a great opportunity to raise some money for a cause that has been so close to many of my friends and family.

Power of Women - Update (Sept 2021)

Hi all,

I hope you are well and doing OK during lockdown!

Just as an update, the Powerlifting competition has now been postponed to February, for obvious reasons - which gives me more time to train to reach my goal! I am now lifting 1.7x my body weight... I'll be at 2x in no time.
