Celebrating Jess

WE LOVE YOU JESS!!

We wanted to share how incredibly proud we are of our beautiful beautiful Jess. She has been an absolute inspiration in how she’s taken on her journey with cancer this past year. Jess is one of the strongest girls I know and we are so lucky to be celebrating this milestone with everyone far and wide. Her friendships span across the country and we wanted to find a way we can all come together and acknowledge her. 

This page gives us an opportunity to celebrate and give back to the McGarth Foundation. The team of carers have been instrumental in the support and care given to not only to Jess but to anyone going through the motions of their diagnosis and treatment. 

If people don’t know The McGrath Foundation provides free specialised cancer care nurses to patients and their families, offering medical, emotional, and practical support throughout diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.

These nurses help patients navigate the health system, manage treatment side effects, and receive consistent, evidence-based care no matter where they live. 

They are the people you text, call, chat to when you get test results back you don’t understand, want to know what to pack to the hospital, what to expect each step along the way and explain to you how normal all the curve balls are when experiencing treatment. 

Originally focused on breast cancer, the Foundation is now expanding its services to support people with all types of cancer. 

They are the people you can go to for all your questions, no matter how big or small. Make you and your family feel supported while life has its way with you. 

They offer care in so many avenues without any judgement or pressure. It is an incredibly important, on the ground, next to the patient support and we are so grateful how amazing they’ve been to Jess and the Sylvester family. Our donations will contribute towards the research and support the families who need it.
