Remembering Alva Macey
Alva "Flossie" Macey was a remarkable woman.
Beloved wife and best friend of Laurie for more than 65 years, adored mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was the kind and generous person on which so many relied. Known for her quick wit and honesty, there was never a dull moment when Alva was around!
She filled the house with flowers and always sent them to people who could use a smile. However, now that she has moved on to the next phase, we are asking you to help us remember the difference Alva made with a donation to the McGrath Foundation and their wonderful nurses, instead of a bouquet.
McGrath Breast Care Nurses provided our family with an invaluable service as we navigated the confusing and difficult world of cancer treatment. When doctors and treatments kept changing, they were the ones who always knew her face and her name.
