Pink Up Oberon

By Pink Up Oberon

Let's do our part for breast cancer

Oberon is fundraising to help make the lives of families experiencing breast cancer that little bit easier.

A breast cancer diagnosis can change your life in an instant and the impact can be felt right through your family and friends.

McGrath Breast Care Nurses bring you and your family peace of mind through expert knowledge, personal care and genuine compassion. They can help you create time in your life not defined by breast cancer.

Supporting me to raise funds for this great cause is easy and you can help place specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses, wherever they're needed.

Together, we can make a difference!

Thank you so much for your support.

Pink Up Wine & Cheese Evening

Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Pink Up Event on last Friday evening at the Oberon Masonic Lodge. Your support is appreciated

Forty one people enjoyed listening to and chatting with guest speaker Sharmaine McDonald, her talk was both revealing and entertaining. Thank you Sharmaine

$446 was raised on the night, $1152 through  the raffle held in the Main Street and Oberon Council staff donated $103. Every cent of these funds will be forwarded to The McGrath Foundation on behalf of the Oberon Community to help with its mission to ensure everyone has free access to Specialist Breast Cancer Nurses if and when needed.  These very special Nurses offer support to vulnerable individuals and their families as they navigate the traumatic breast cancer pathway. By supporting Pink Up Oberon you are helping enormously, as life often shows us the future is unknown and any one of us or our loved ones could benefit from this free service at any point in time.  There is  Breast Cancer Support Nurse based at Daffodil Cottage in Bathurst and one in Orange

Raffle winners were,  1st prize – Deb Marks, 2nd  Prize – Fran Charge and 3rd Prize -  Racheal Maher…congratulations to all.  Once again the generosity of spirit of our community shines brightly through. Our appreciation to Supa IGA for their generous support of the event - don’t forget SHOP LOCAL and  invest in our town. Thank you to Oberon Council who sponsored Pink Up Month and to everyone who gave up their valuable time giving “hands on” help

There is still time to vote for your favourite Pink Up display on Facebook. It may be a shop front, school or home – keep an eye out and show your appreciation by voting
