Let's do our part for breast cancer
We started Pink Ribbon Fishin to raise some money and give back a little to the charities that helped my wife Kelly through her battle with breast cancer.
In late 2019 she was diagnosed and instantly your whole world changes and from the very start of her battle the Mcgrath Foundation nurses were there to help her along, answer all the questions and give her support along the way.
It absolutely blew me away how unreal these nurses and the charity is! If it wasn't for Mcgrath Foundation for their support the whole process would of been a lot more challenging.
Since then the majority of Kel's treatment is done but we decided to change our lives so we hit the road full time to trek Australia. We both love fishing so much we thought of a way to not only have a bit of fun but be able to raise money to give something back to those that help us so much.
With a great bunch of local support we started Pink Ribbon Fishin, we are making custom handmade fishing rods with the Pink Ribbon theme along with other support from local tackle suppliers and shops that are donating their time and pink themed gear to the prize pool.
We'll run a online raffle during the month of October and draw the raffle on the last Sunday of the month. All funds raised in 2022 will go to the Mcgrath Foundation.
