What the Fluff

By Simone Dawson

In memory of someone special

On 05/03/2023, we lost a warrior.

Jac was someone who lived life to the fullest, went on crazy adventures and loves a good dress up. She was the sort of person that went on walks during Covid dressed up a condom, just to make people laugh. She was the first one to reach out and help when we are down.

She was unapologetically her, our biggest ally and the one to encourage us to step outside our comfort zone. We have all learnt to live better through our time with her.

Just shy of her 40th Birthday, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She beat it like a champ. Never complained and just kept going with life the best she could and raised money for various cancer charities.

She stood up and gave it her best fight but that  horrible thing had other plans. She is now stalking the celebrities of past and finally enjoying a beer in heaven.

Jac was overwhelmed by the support of the raffle and other fundraising efforts, often commenting that it was too much. In my mind, the support was the least we could do. We will continue to honour her.

Your donations will help our McGrath Breast Care Nurses to support more families experiencing breast cancer, no matter where they live and for free, so we greatly appreciate your support at this difficult time. Your donations will help the McGrath Foundation make a real difference.

Thank you for your support.
