McGrath Foundation Trek 3.0

The third addition of the McGrath Foundation Trek this summer is a little bit different to the previous two, starting on January 2nd. This walk is a 60km one day slog in the scorching heat, starting from our major sponsor Laundy Hotels establishment at the Bayview Hotel in Woy Woy and finishing up at the SCG.

We will be walking to honour the amazing McGrath Breast Care Nurses, breast cancer warriors and those families who have been touched by breast cancer.

The following morning (Wednesday, January 3rd) the trekkers will link up with the public for the walk to the Pink Village which is always very special. Followed by watching Day 1 of the cricket.

We have the pleasure of teaming up with Prabodh, the amazing man who walked all the way from the MCG to the SCG last Pink Test. He has another big walk planned & we can’t wait to support him along the way before meeting up with him for the last km or so!

We are honoured to be able to represent the McGrath Foundation again with this walk, we can’t wait to walk with some amazing people and hopefully raise a few $$ & awareness for the breast care nurses.

Did you know that in Australia, the risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer over a lifetime is one in seven, for women?

From diagnosis and throughout treatment, McGrath Breast Care Nurses provide invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support - no matter where you live and regardless of your financial situation.

McGrath Foundation research show early access to the McGrath Breast Care Nurse significantly improves the experience and outcomes of the person with breast cancer.

But we need your support. Ongoing funding is needed to ensure our McGrath Breast Care Nurses can continue to provide support to families experiencing breast cancer.
